LEAN Navigator
Competent LEAN Navigators are autonomous team members who can perform standard LEAN analyses and implement LEAN ideas. Building on the LEAN Seaman elearning module, the LEAN Navigator training is an extremely practical four-day residential course. Using simulations and a week long case study, participants will carry out a detailed diagnostic of a service based operation and present their findings and recommendations to Atos Origin managers. Following the course, Navigators will be expected to undertake a LEAN project on which they are fully supported and coached. They are then championed via monthly calls by a LEAN resource manager.
What will I learn?
- Hands-on practical use of LEAN diagnostic tools, such as those used on the TOP projects T4 and T14.
- Understand more advanced LEAN tools, including Voice of the Customer, Demand Analysis, Product Analysis and Value Stream Mapping
- Be able to use problem-solving tools, like Issue Trees and Five Whys to interpret diagnostic results
- Be able to work as part of a team in larger LEAN projects and lead a LEAN workshop.
- Be able to lead small workplace LEAN activities and deliver LEAN Awareness Sessions.
Who should attend?
