Latest News > TOP News N°28 - New career opportunities

At the Group Management Meeting held last week in London the importance of the TOP program and the use of Lean methodology in reinventing Atos Origin was reinforced.

Lean is enabling us to leverage the skills and creativity of all of us to do our job more efficiently, while improving quality and service to our clients. Its continued use across all our operations will give us competitive advantage to strengthen and grow Atos Origin.

Opportunity to accelerate your career and work overseas
To support the further roll out of Lean across our organization, there are now opportunities for over 40 people to join the program in November and December as Lean Navigators.

The roles of Lean Navigators are open to all employees across the Group. Navigators deliver and support Lean activities in areas including applications development and management, service desk, infrastructure management, on-site support and the support functions.

The role of a Lean Navigator offers the opportunity to accelerate your career and to work overseas with international teams. All successful candidates selected to join the TOP Lean programs will be invited to attend a one week training course.

They will receive on-going coaching and mentoring and may also be eligible for Lean Navigator incentives. High performing Lean Navigators can expect to be promoted to Lean Skipper within three to six months, when they would receive further training and may be eligible for Lean Skipper incentives.

No previous experience of the business areas listed above is required. All candidates should:

  • Speak English
  • Be a team player

Jacek Przybylski - supervisor in Poland - joined the Lean program in February 2009 and has worked in Bydgoszcz, Poland and Livingston, UK. Starting in November Jacek will be a Lean Skipper in the Netherlands.

"Joining the Lean Program has been a great opportunity for me. I have found it fascinating to be part of a global project working with an international team to transform Atos Origin.
I have learned a lot about the Lean methodology and how to successfully implement it, while also improving my own skills in project management, analysis, communication, leadership and coaching.
I would recommend the role of Lean Navigator to anybody who is looking for a new challenge and the chance to work outside of their home country."
